Our client who is 100% remote company needed help with product management across

• New Product Development

The goal was to integrate their platform with 3rd party apps so that their customers can freely exchange information between the platform and any 3rd party app used by customers. This would make the customer experience better and customers would be retained for longer.

We started by understanding the overall ecosystem and identified the apps which are commonly used by the customers and are strategic fit for the platform. A deep integration with multiple individual apps would have been an ideal solution but due to lack of time (and budget) this was quickly ruled out.

We then started exploring automation tools like Zapier and found that Zapier integration would be an ideal solution in the short run and in the long run, platform APIs can be available for any app developer to integrate.

With the solution in mind, we created the V1 product plan with detailed requirements and worked with the engineering team for creating Proof of Concepts and finally getting it implemented.

We also helped with the product marketing and documentation so that customers find it easy to connect their apps with the platform using Zapier.

In parallel to this project, we also helped the client with product management for an online event ticket sales feature as well.
