Your journey so far

I got in SEO and the internet services business in 2013, when I was serving the army in Larisa, Greece.  Every morning l got up at six o clock and went in the military camp, while from the evening and late night l was building my first website for a client in WordPress.

I spotted a gap in the SEO market so I started by writing my SEO Google First Page Guide and l gave it away to prospects by taking their emails.

This model finally worked out and through email marketing and almost daily blog writing l managed to find some clients that started to pay me for SEO.

Bearing in mind that in Greece we still have a permanent economic crisis, this is quite an achievement.

How do you help your clients grow and achieve their goals?

The secret of the success in SEO is hard work. Nothing was easy and nothing is when you have to rank a new website from 1.000€ per month turnover to 10.000€ or more. The competition is fierce and Google tries to make things even more difficult.

Keeping pace with changing technology and remain competitive?

By reading a lot, l read every day and l watch seminars, l also make my own tests and research on SEO on what is working and what not. There is no limit on the internet and because SEO is part of the internet, there is not limit in it. We are knowledge workers and we have always to keep pace with the new trends of the Google Algorithm.

Top hurdles faced for business growth

I think the top hurdle now for me is scalability. My business is not scaling because it is very dependant on me. But this is about to change in a while and it will change by differentiating a small part of my business and invest a bit in affiliate marketing or other online ventures.

Core specialties and offerings to your clients

The most important thing we offer are results. Results seem to be something so obvious in our business but unfortunately it isn’t. Nobody can quarantees you results and nobody can play with Google safe for months. You need to have extremely good skills in link building, understanding how a site ranks and then combine everything you need to bring results. Unless you bring results, you are not paid.

Key to motivation

Every business owner has to be driven and self motivated. I keep repeating to myself my goals every single day and I try to focus only on them. Life is full of distractions and nothing is more dangerous than a distracted and careless professional. 4hours Work Week by Tim Ferris is one of my favorite business books and then the intelligent investor from Benjamin Graham.

Advice to Product Makers

To provide value and to service the customer by continuing to improve their products. This term is called from the Japanese management Kaizen. The commitment not to perfection, because perfection is very vane and vague, but the commitment to continuous improvement is imperative.
